Anyone remember when camping and cycling were like this? When a club has a history as long as the Camping and Caravanning Club, and the Mountain Activity Section within that, chances are you won’t.
But some things never change: views of the hills, a great sunset, bicycles propped up all around, and some good old campsite nourishment. Though, fancy a different kind of cycling outfit, anyone? And maybe the camping accommodation has become a little more complicated (or convenient).
Most of our archives come from after the Club’s establishment in 1901 but we do have some copies of ‘Cycle & Camp’ written by our founder T.H. Holding and published in 1898 pic.twitter.com/8nMWtXZYFJ
