2018 start: wet, grey & a new committee

Our MAS Northern programme started off in late March: wet, grey and cold in the otherwise beautiful Wensleydale town of Hawes.  Unlike the green fields that we frequent during the dryer months, Hawes Auction Mart offers us the security of hardstanding. No awning out but perfect for this time of year.

Mid-April things brightened up (just a little) and we moved to hardstanding again (our British weather is far too fickle for anything else at this time of year). Skipton Cattle Mart this time, and we were joined by many other Camping and Caravanning Club members who had to change plans at the last minute because the fields they were heading too were waterlogged.

Also, Skipton Cattle Mart, gateway to the Yorkshire Dales (what more do we need to say!), had the benefit of a warm and cosy room big enough for us to hold our Northern MAS AGM. Good meeting, a new committtee, and sociable chatter among MAS members.

Onwards to bright and sunny days packed with camping, walking and cycling.
